The Cakewalk VST Adapter 4.6 is a software tool for converting VST format plug-ins to the Direct X and DX formats enabling users to support and add more VST audio and instrument effects to their Cakewalk studio software or any Direct X compatible application.
Installing the Cakewalk VST Adapter 4.6 tp their studio gives owners sample accurate automation that will allow them to download thousands of freeware and shareware VST audio and instrument effects and add them to their pre-set sound libraries and instrument studios. Studio program owners who use brands like Cool Edit, Home Studio, ACID, Vagas and SONAR, who add the Cakewalk VST Adapter 4.6 will notice an increase in functuality previously unavailable to them and other VST applications. SONAR owners especially benefit from full envelope automation that is sample accurate and they will have no limit on soft synthesizer instruments or automatable parameters. Those owners who have versions of Cakewalk software without Dxi support, such as ProAudio 9, will also benefit from installing this adapter as it will open up their applications to VST audio effects plug-ins, however, they won’t be able to access VST instruments.
